Privacy Policy — MB Manager Academy

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Robert Blair, Sole Proprietor, operating as (o/b/a) MB Manager Academy, Belleville, Ontario, collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the MB Hub internal portal and associated SMS messaging services ("Platform").

This Platform is an internal tool for authorized staff of Store #6264 only. It is not a public-facing service.

2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

To authenticate your access to the Platform
To send you SMS notifications you have consented to receive (store announcements, training updates)
To send broadcast emails to staff regarding store operations
To track training completion and certification status
To maintain compliance records for SMS messaging regulations

      We do not use your personal information for any purpose other than those listed above. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information — including your mobile number — with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
    

4. SMS Data Practices

When you provide your mobile number and consent to SMS messaging:

Your number is stored in our Firebase Realtime Database, which is protected by Google's infrastructure and access controls.
Your consent choices (transactional, marketing) and the date/time of consent are recorded for regulatory compliance.
SMS messages are delivered through third-party carriers. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS, or by updating your preferences in the MB Hub.

5. Data Storage and Security

All Platform data is stored in Google Firebase Realtime Database (Firebase project: mb-academy-65fba). Google's security infrastructure protects data in transit and at rest.

Access to account data is restricted to authorized administrators (Rob, Admin). Staff members can only access their own account data.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active on the Platform, or as required for regulatory compliance purposes. Upon termination of your employment at Store #6264, your account may be deactivated or removed by an administrator.

SMS consent records may be retained for a minimum of 4 years for regulatory compliance purposes, even after account deactivation.

7. Your Rights

As an individual whose data we hold, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Withdraw consent for SMS messaging at any time (reply STOP or update in MB Hub)
Request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — database and cloud functions
Brevo (Sendinblue) — SMS and email delivery
EmailJS — email notifications
Google Fonts — typography delivery

These providers act as data processors and are used solely to deliver Platform functionality. They do not receive your data for their own marketing purposes.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's Consumer Protection Act.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform following changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
